A few things! First, we’re a boutique studio who films and edits each wedding ourselves, so we take on a limited number of events per year. This helps us ensure that each event receives a level of responsiveness and attention to detail that is otherwise impossible. We have a distinct filmmaking style that prioritizes neutral colors, natural lighting, handheld movement, and calm editing. We shy away from anything trendy or over-stylized to help ensure that your wedding film ages as gracefully as your marriage. And finally, we’ve had over ten years to hone our craft, and we believe the quality of our work speaks for itself. It’s for these reasons that we’re a preferred videographer at venues like Magnolia Hill Farm, Jorgensen Farms, and Pinnacle Golf Club.

Absolutely. We love getting to provide multiple services for our couples. When you reserve Sound + Light Creative for both DJ and videography, we bring along an additional videographer to help capture your day while Brandon serves as your DJ. Brandon. Unlike some large videography companies where you meet with the owner but then a less-experienced associate shows up at your event, you always get our main videographer. When multiple shooters are necessary, we handpick associates from a small pool of trusted talent.

We shoot with Canon cinema cameras, including the C80 and C70, and a variety of Canon L-series lenses. We have a DJI drone that we always bring along and fly above your venue (as long as the weather cooperates). We shoot and deliver everything in 4K resolution.

Your wedding film brings you right back to the best moments of your wedding day, including bride and groom prep, first looks, ceremony, portraits, and reception. We pair the best audio and video clips with a cinematic soundtrack to help tell the story of your day. Usually, our films run between 6 and 8 minutes long — about the length of two songs.

A good score is one of the most important aspects of any film. For our wedding films, we select music that helps bring out the emotions of your day. We source all of our music from Musicbed, a resource specifically designed for filmmakers. Our couples are welcome to take a look at the catalog and make recommendations to help us decide which music to use.

We have a fun option called the Home Video which is all of the raw footage from your day included in one big video file — perfect for rewatching your ceremony or scrubbing through to find most hilarious behind-the-scenes shenanigans. We also offer the Documentary Film, which features full-length edited versions of your ceremony and reception in a more polished video.

Within 12 weeks of your wedding, you’ll receive digital download links to preview your finished videography. Based on the package you select, we also have keepsake USB drives, custom-printed Blu-ray discs, and premium video books through The Motion Books — a fun way to keep your wedding film on your coffee table for easy viewing. In case you lose anything, we’ll keep your finished videography backed up on our end for as long as possible.

Fortunately, this has never happened in our 10+ years of service at hundreds of weddings. But it’s still good to be prepared. Through our time in the wedding industry, we’ve gotten to know many great local videographers. In the unlikely event that an illness or other unforeseen circumstance were to prevent us from being at your wedding, we would lean on this community to find a suitable replacement on short notice.

It’s easy. First, contact us with some basic information about your wedding. We’ll reach out and confirm our availability — if we’re free, we’ll invite you to schedule a brief meeting to get to know you better and learn more about your event. To make things official, you’ll sign a simple contract and pay a 50% deposit. Once signed and paid, the date is reserved.
